Deep Purple ended, Ritchie Blackmore recruited Elf as his band and formed Rainbow in the 70s, then fired them, except Dio, after the first album. When Ozzy was let go, Dio replaced him in Black Sabbath. Ozzy formed his own band, hired Randy Rhoads, who died, then hired Jake E Lee. Point being, these boys all knew each other and partied together, and you know in the 70s and 80s they partied, well, I do, I was there, in Cortland.
