I note that there was another operation with the same name in Syria that seems to have taken naming precedence.

I am finding lots of operations related to tunnels, or that had incidental tunnel activity, but nothing specific to them being expanded. Is that a theory or is it something publicly acknowledged?

Also see the Qasem Soleimani connection. I guess a sort of tunnel godfather.
