Note that you can buy shares in corporations identified as having some of this tech and move your shares to self-custody via transfer agent out of the brokerage custodial system. This may be as close as we get to "individual ownership" of a small piece of the tech for a little while.

I am a former Musk hater and Tesla hater. I thought he mocking us by using that name. Turns out I was wrong, and I now own lots of Tesla shares (held at transfer agent) and use StarLink service. I will buy StarLink/SpaceX shares when they go public as well.
