I live in an area of FL where there's a ton of Puerto Ricans. We have a city here, Deltona, FL that is advertised on the island wanting them to move here. I know a bunch of former Islanders who will never move back there. Why? Because they say it's a third world shit hole. The govt is more corrupt than DC, the island is filthy, overrun by gangs, and even though it's a U.S. Commonwealth Territory, it's the poorest of them all. Even military members don't want to get stationed there. They'd rather go to Guam than P..R. (Getting stationed on Guam for 4 yrs sucks, too as there's nothing to do there.) The gangs are so bad down there that I know a kid who won't go back to see his extended family because his birth father is a gang member and wants to kill him for leaving the island with his mother. To top it all off, there isn't any real, quality jobs that pay the locals enough to live on. As a result of the low paying wages, high subsistence costs, and highly corrupt govt, a lot of people that live in the rural areas are forced to eat bush meat. I've seen trash wash up on FL beaches that originates from P.R.
