I've confirmed that you can get muted site-wide, and it's a weird kind of shadowban.

I discovered this by noticing impressions fell off, then replying to a post and visiting the https://nitter.poast.org version of the post, and saw it wasn't there.. reply was 1 of 10 replies. 10 replies viewable on x. only 9 viewable on nitter (even though it says 10 replies was on that post)
