People have got to start verifying before sharing. No one commenting here or on X understands what is actually happening, they are just combining emotion with confirmation bias to reach a conclusion. Intentional or not, the dude in the video is pushing disinfo. Wall Street Apes has a bad habit of sharing BS content like this. Whatever gets clicks, right?
A few minutes of digging and I found out what's really happening. Congress gave FEMA taxpayer $ which they offer to people whose homes are damaged to the point of being unlivable. The $2500 is NOT to buy the property, it is to help people rebuild. If people do not take the money and do not make necessary repairs on their own, then their homes are being condemned. That's normal for any structure that is unsafe by the standards of local law.
Exactly. The guy in the video makes it sound like people are being forced to sell. It is their choice, and I'd bet many of them are grateful for the opportunity to begin rebuilding their lives. Not too many buyers for flood-ravaged property.
