Yes it did look exactly like the red orb one in Close Encounters, but larger. Long line of swerving cars but no crash. Second was very typically described type of watching a "star" above my head at night that was forming a precise pattern of straight lines and right-angle turns, then a diagonal path which faded and disappeared. This was not long before the 1998 Phoenix Lights incident which passed over my neighborhood but I was inside and did not see it, on it's silent path from Kingman area AZ to phoenix.
