There was a nice bit of news waiting for me when I got out of bed this morning.

In that President Trump has been confirmed by a SCOTUS finding as the winner of the 2020 election and recently sworn in as such by the Senate over Memorial Day weekend, this indictment is irrelevant. So why are the Democrats pressing forward with this silly indictment? They are betting that a public admission of President Trump’s status will be endlessly delayed, perhaps through the 2024 election, so the reinstatement of President Trump will never occur. They are expecting the delays to allow a trial and guilty verdict so President Trump cannot be a candidate in 2024. They are wrong on all counts.
