In all fairness much of what you said is true...which really speaks to the message in the story. Jesus was probably born in September and paganism is at the root of much of our accepted holiday celebrations...December 25 is based on the winter solstice. You do realize that any symbolism of anything is determined by certain people giving it the specific interpretation. So if you had listened to the video you would have discovered, as Paul did, that pagan symbolism is just their interpretation and holds no weight for the child of God. God has not interpreted it as such and as the creator of everything...rainbows, hearts, trees, music, love, gifts, etc. He does not condemn us. We are responsible for our sin and it's consequence of eternal death...not God. So is it wrong to celebrate the birth of Jesus on Dec. 25th because it is a pagan holiday??? Can we ONLY do it in September to be forever grateful for God becoming a man and making a way to reconcile with him? Anyway...have a good night...I have no need to argue with you. You cannot see because you have blinders on. I used to be very legalistic until I more fully understood God's grace, mercy and love. You are certainly free to believe whatever you want. I am certainly glad that you perfectly possess ALL knowledge and truth...at least there is someone in the world that knows it ALL. I truly thank you for your comments because it allowed me to study Jeremiah 10 to more fully to understand exactly what this passage is talking about. I love to learn and study God's Word and I am always grateful for deeper truth.
