Nope, not buying this story. I've always been taught the Roman Catholic Church is the wealthiest entity on this planet, now I'm reading it's broke? Where is that wealth? The gold from South America, the paintings, the tapestries, the iconography, the historical texts? If need be they can at least sell some of those things to pay off the debts, but surely the offering plate is still being passed around on Sundays. Where are those tithes going? The church is rolling in wealth and here they are now crying poor mouth. Still not buying it!!!!
