You can see in that thread, same OP posted same video link previously assuming it was the latest without doing much research or digging.

"Past tense" - Everything is past tense once its done, even if it is said today, unless its a live stream. When it is so old as 8 years, proper way to say it is "HAD said", that too specifying actual year if the OP was honest.

It is misleading because look at number of updoots on this irrelevant post vs. mine where people like these downdooted on the post itself to ensure it doesn't rise up. People only want to see what they really want to see, not facts. Just fiction. They want to live in fantasy land, not reality. We should be much better than this lefties type of cheap behavior.
