Granted, they have kicked everyone's ass when it comes to building ships. But it is not because they make a better product. Over the years they have slowly been able to muscle almost everyone else out of the market with regards to cargo and tanker ships due to cost and unfair trade practices. However, for many Western nations our superior military fleets are still built in the West and for reasons beyond just national security concerns. Thankfully several countries are trying to reverse the trend by encouraging their own homegrown commercial ship building - but it is going to take time to reverse. China's navel fleets however are still not ready for prime time and are more for show. They just lost one of their subs a couple of months ago. It sank in the harbor and never made it out for trials. This in addition to another sub they lost about a year ago that went down losing the entire crew. Their latest carrier, the Fujian, still has not made it out of sea trials and has yet to actually launch fighters. China has yet to project presence outside of their own backyard.
My point is that even though they may have antigravity tech does not mean they can build it and have it actually work. This is where China falls flat. Most of what many in the West believe the Chinese possess in the way of advanced technology is pure fantasy. They are masters of false facade and it only shows how successful they have been in their infiltration and propaganda. Sun Tzu strategy. We need to be more careful about what we believe with regards to Chinese tech and make sure we look beyond the surface.
Even though I have been a China watcher for years, my opinion also is based upon information from others with actual inside knowledge of China from diverse expertise - many of them Chinese that escaped the clutches of the CCP. They are all consistent in their warnings. The CCP knows they could never challenge the West head to head. So they are fighting an asymmetrical war with the West. Also, let us not forget that there are forces behind the scenes that profit from creating bogey men. It is good for business and fits their global agendas.
Thanks for your response and opinions. Discussion is good.
