Most Danes are raised within the church so to speak. They are given the Christian identity through baptisms. The National church in Denmark is Lutheran and Danes are automatically members unless they opt out of paying the 1% church tax. No one really goes to church other than maybe for Christmas, baptisms, weddings and funerals. Majority of the Danish teens will also get confirmed within the church although this is mainly chosen because it’s part of the culture so all their friends are confirmed too and it’s sort of a stepping stone into becoming an adult (it’s also when Danes are first introduced to alcohol - at age 13..!!) but it’s basically just as a way for them to have a big party with presents and money gifts - not really a pure sincere choice into accepting Jesus Christ. That’s their religious culture. All for show and no roots. Danes are sheeps of the church silently being led away from its core values. Most if any have a personal relationship with Christ. The church in Denmark provides very boring washed down sermons. You will see 2-3 old ladies on the bench every Sunday and that’s it. No one else goes and no one in Denmark seems to be growing in their relationships with Christ. It’s no wonder the youth today is so easily deceived. I was once one of them as I grew up in Denmark and I feel blessed to be in the USA which I believe is a true anointed country of God. Majority of Americans have God in their hearts. That’s why I Love America 🇺🇸 Don’t get me wrong - Denmark is a lovely country - but sadly the people are loosing their morals and essence.
