Probably lack of H1B support, not getting his NASA appt, DOGE coin not being part of the strategic reserve, OpenAI getting the DoD contract, Starlink not getting contracts for rural Internet, EVs not being prioritized, etc. Basically not supporting his pet projects enough. He's also said he felt like DOGE wasn't defended enough and that he's been made to be a scapegoat.

However, I think each of these was the right call. With DOGE he also made too many decisions based on a short timeline (his own) and impossibly high goals (again his own). He could have spent more time actually setting up the org for long term success, but instead it was weird podcasts about magic money machines and other nonsense.
