Just for an FYI. I live in a rural county in NC. Someone posted two days ago that ICE was in our area. We have a lot of Hispanics who live here. Many work in the fields and/or in the animal processing plants here. Some work with roofing, building and landscaping groups.

I’ve heard It is well known by police and sheriff’s dept that there are many drug cartel bosses who live in my town with their families. They were told they’d be left alone if they don’t sell their drugs here. (So apparently they go to larger towns outside my county)

I have a Hispanic landscaper that I believe is a legal resident. He’s been here for years and speaks English very well. However, most of his Hispanic staff do not speak English.

Normally they mow and clean up my leaves here by Weds afternoon or Thursday morning each week. Sometimes they are delayed bc it rains. But it hasn’t rained all week. It is now Friday am and I still have not seen his crew yet. It’s possible they have been held up bc a lot of leaves are down on my area.

He has multiple teams that work in my 500 home development. Makes me wonder if his staff went into hiding since they haven’t shown up here yet. Very unusual for sure.
