I don’t understand why take a reliable ally from the Senate by bringing in Markwayne Mullin, especially when our majorities in both chambers are razor thin. He should have just brought back the very competent Chad Wolf, which he should have done from the start. Kristi Noem was never a good choice. Like Pam Bondi, she’s always been a daffy grandstander, and Noem has always been a questionable administrator. Her most noteworthy accomplishment as DHS Secretary was her affair with Corey Lewandowski and dubious photo ops. Tom Homan has been running the show anyway and doing a fantastic job on both the administrative and PR fronts.
