This isn't intended to be super-deep (why it's in General Chat) but as you get older don't let pride keep you from increasing your rep-range (meaning decreasing the weight). You've earned the right to not need to impress anyone. You'll only end up hurting yourself.
I know a guy at the gym who is 67 and is always putting the selector pin on as much weight as possible (or putting on multiples of the big plates). He may do 4-5 "throws" (not reps). He recently told me about his many joint replacement surgeries and various other injuries. I could tell it was pointless to try to help him see the connection. Don't be that guy.
