While the US has been warring with Iran, Israel has been invading Lebanon, a situation which has not received as much attention had the US not been at war with Iran. What are your thoughts on Israel attempting to implement a "Gaza model" in the southern portion of Lebanon up to the Litani River? Mind you, this is not a temporary measure, but Israel is seeking permanent control of the territory which they will use for a security zone and potentially future permanent settlement. Entire villages have been wiped out, and millions are being displaced.
Is it possible--just possible--that the US involvement in Iran (which we began because Israel struck Iran first) has enabled Israel to now roll through Lebanon?
