So what do we do about the Strategic Oil Reserve?

I know someone who is dooming to all hell about the Iran attacks, saying that with the continued blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Trump is artificially keeping prices much lower than they should be via releasing oil from the SOR--and that we have only a month or so of supply left. Once that's gone, he says to expect $10 gas prices, likely higher.

I don't know how much of that is true and how much is BS, especially with people selling their oil to us directly since they can't use the Strait--yeah, I saw the shipping map. But this guy just won't shut up about how fucked we are (his words, not mine).
