I keep seeing "soy-boi" being thrown around.. And I get why, and you probably do too. So you should be reading labels because the Man is putting soy into everything. Please read labels.

For example, chocolate has soy. That'll be soy lecithin.. There doesn't need to be soy lecithin in your chocolate, it could be sunflower lecithin, or even no lecithin - it's a bullshit ingredient doing the job of cocoa butter, but cheaper.

Many foods and drinks have ingredients taken out and sold and being replaced by cheap shit. Apple juice is a great example. But it says, "100% Real Juice!" On the front, man.. Ok, turn it around, read the label.... Filtered water, high-fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, apple juice (from concentrate), artificial flavors, artificial colors, ascorbic acid, and maybe sodium benzoate as a preservative ...they took something out and filled in the gaps with shit. Go to a local orchard and buy juice, freeze it if you bought extra. Or better yet, buy the apples and juice them yourself, it will be fresh and unpasteurized.

Stop buying shit that's meant to poison you slowly. Read labels. If you're in the habit of eating processed foods, you're eating man-made garbage synthesized from soy and corn. Make your own food with as few fresh whole ingredients as possible. It's not difficult, and it'll not only be more nutritious, but cheaper. Learn to shop smart and to cook simple meals. Stay to the outer ring of the grocery store as much as possible.

One of my favorite dishes is called mahmous (mach - moose) it's Arab poor-man's food.. Literally deeply caramelized onions (almost black but not burnt) to flavor the water used for cooking basmati rice. Onion, rice, seasonings if you got them, meat if you have it, or root vegetables. It's kinda complicated with the temperature and timing, but if you're interested look it up. Very cheap but delicious.

Here's another very inexpensive and simple recipe.. It's called oats soup in English.. 1 white onion, 1 potato, 1 carrot, 1 green pepper, 1/4c rolled oats, salt/pepper, 1-2 Tbsp your favorite seasonings, cayenne to taste, 1/2c - 1c of each fresh cilantro and parsley Chop up everything except fresh greens and seasonings, and put it all into a large pot (4qt) with some oil to fry until brown. Optional, toast whole cumin seeds before adding veggies. Whenever you're satisfied with what you're looking at and smelling, add the seasonings and fill the pot 3/4 full with water and set to boil them simmer until veggies are done. Add greens, use stick blender to puree, salt pepper, done.

Red lentils.. Super cheap. Fry white onion in olive oil until transparent, add soaked lentils, toast for a bit, add enough water for them to cook thoroughly, eat with bread.. Preferably bread that you made yourself with flour, water, salt.
