Before computers, good old blueprints were regarded as any companies top secrets. They could be stolen but duplicating them was difficult. The only public shops offering the service, were required to call the firm on the print first for permission to duplicate it.

Now 3-D files contain far more accurate data about any companies latest thinking. I have little sense these files are well protected in the cloud. One big firm we avoid gives two instant quotes. One from China and one from the US, at about twice the price. It seems a natural area for greater net security to develop over time as the biggest firms are in the same pickle.

I'm guessing the UV lights have been about fold marks and mail reading machinery roller tracks. Not folded or never in a mail sorting machine would be easy rejects.
