I am not saying it wasn't a violent and sexually deviant society. But Lott and his daughters had lived there for awhile unmolested it seems.

Sodom and Gomorrah were located in the land of Canaan. The people were Caananite. Why did God tell the Israelite to destroy the inhabitants of Caanan? Their flesh was corrupted. Their was a second incursion after the flood. There was more perversion than I want to list here.
