EDIT: Apparently, Sean is from OXFORD Ohio, so he was not claiming that he went to Oxford University in the UK. So part of my criticism of his speech is invalid. I was confused by the fact that he said only the word Oxford, before describing his publications history. If he had said I’m from Oxford Ohio I would not have been confused. Actually the reason he said oxford is because Oxford Ohio is where his Alma Mater is located, the University of Miami at Ohio.

However I’m still unhappy with him referring to himself as a doctor and then hinting at some type of medical expertise. I don’t know why he did that. He’s actually an expert in educational policy and that expertise is certainly relevant at school board meeting.

——————————

OK I actually watched part of the “Quite Frankly” video podcast. By the way, “Quite Frankly” is a conservative podcast. The link for that exact podcast is in my previous comment above.

At about the 29 minute mark, the host introduces Dr. Sean Brooks as a PhD. He explains that Sean got his bachelors degree from Miami University of Ohio. The host then goes on to explain that Sean got his Masters degree and his PhD at Walden University.

“Walden University is an online for-profit university headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, Master of Public Health, Education Specialist, Doctor of Education, Doctor of Business Administration, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.”

By the way, if you watch the podcast and wait until Sean appears at about 38 minutes, you’ll see that the Sean in the school board video is the same person as the Sean on Quite Frankly.

Again Sean was making no claim to have a graduated from Oxford yet he was hinting at being some type of doctor and being familiar with medicine.

I do not recommend sending this video to anyone even though what some of what he said might be true.

The host then goes on to explain that Sean got his Masters degree and his PhD at Walden University. I checked online and Walden University is not part of the Oxford university system. Instead;

So, perhaps Sean did not know he was being recorded and for some strange reason decided to pretend he graduated from Oxford to impress the school board. So he is either dumb or manic.

I do not recommend sending this video to anyone even though what some of what he said might be true.
