I love your bringing Angelology into this, and your subtle and wonderfully revelatory observations. It may even be that this transformational 'upgrade' is planet-wide, and that other species may be undergoing a kind of quantum leap as well. As a kind of inevitable evolution in our overall field of consciousness.
I mean e.g., what is the nature of the prophesied 'rapture', really? Of 'being caught up to meet Christ in the air'? Does it include our uniting/integrating our subjective/outer personality cs with the 'Christ within us, our hope of glory' - or i.e., our own higher self/soul/true divine nature, 'made in the image and likeness of God')? And/or going from being (as theosophists would say) 'emotionally polarized' (as one's default response pattern) to being mentally polarized and/or even soul-centered/'soul-infused'?
[A digression/illustration about domestic animals possibly evolving too:
As for a possible planet-wide great awakening (or even 'all creation', i.e. 'groaning and in agony, awaiting the revelation of the sons/(and daughters) of God'?) Even many pets are now observedly seeming to be interchanging intelligently with their humans in human languages. There's been intriguing research about this.
Personally I noticed it with a roaming cat that would visit, who quickly learned to say appropriate words like, 'Yes, no, food ('wrrroooood'), more ('mmoowwrrrr')', etc. in 'converations'(!) It started when he came to the patio door one time, and I asked, 'Do you want to come in?' And he meowed a very clear and unmistakeable, extended 'Yeeaaahhhh.....'.
It was so clear as to be startling ... so whenever he visited, I began experimenting with teaching him (as people do with a baby) different words in English. Since then, science reports have emerged, about researchers exploring how cats, dogs, etc. are indeed learning + appropriately using (not just conditioned) our human words.
And apparently - cats have a vocabulary 10x that of dogs! :) Also the cries of neighboring dogs lately, seem to be expressing clearcut emotions and particular desires (again like the evolutionary development of a baby, whose various cries begin to convey specific meanings to parents).]
If such consciousness dimensions to the Great Awakening are indeed an essential aspect of it, it seems akin to a reversing of the 'confusion of speech' at the Tower of Babel event (after human race's 'fall' into sin, and therefore relative 'captivity' of our minds in matter).
This initially began powerfully reversing at pentecost. 'They all understood'. Another 'upward' movement, like going from a complex equation's various 'derivatives' in calculus ('the stone'), to its more unified, integral originating equation (underlying seed idea).
Well Q did keep saying, re: this Great Awakening - 'It's going to be Biblical!' Which at first I wondered about.
But it seems similar to when the Israelites, escaping slavery, crossed the Red Sea - not everyone set out at the same time, 'in lock-step' (as the mass-mind-control/manipulative mindset of the cabal would seemingly have it :)
Some clusters of people (organically 'awakening'/escaping the Matrix) had probably reached the far shore, before others even started the crossing. But all eventually got across. Just not the Egyptians - who remained bound in their more fallen and material 'left behind' mode of cs. (cf 'Marxist Materialism').
So that's why raising our consciousness/vibrational frequency/quality of thought means that God/Good triumphs.
It means solving the problem on a level higher than that from which it is being generated.
And everyone can start and accomplish this upward ascension from wherever they may be. 'Higher up and further in', as Aslan says in Narnia. Up the very face of the Waterfall.
And yes, it is a deeply co-creative, individual and collective, spiritually upleveling process - as we together along with all creation approach the tipping point. Our individual risings are like a 'leaven' that lightens the whole:
'One small step for a man (each human) or many; 'One Giant Leap for mankind.'

Your idea of the waking realization being the Great Awakening - I like that. Namely we can not just be served by tangible understanding. Q repeatedly cited Spiritual Warfare - almost in a way like Q was begging us to fortify because Q knew without that Armor - we couldn’t properly prepare. That was not lost on me.]
