Look at it this way, by considering "The data" for the most part, you'd know there's no way Jesus was resurrected etc, for Christians and Muslims "The data" doesn't matter, the morals do. It wouldn't matter one jot how long Richard Dwarkins pointed out people cannot walk on water etc because Christians and Muslims get their morality from their faith.

Morals > Facts to humans, if facts > morals for humans then we'd treat a death of the enemy the same as a death to us. We are quite happy to lie for the most part so long as it benefits our team and for the most part leaving that quirk of humanity in the hands of theistic faith is better than atheistic material communism.

"Liberals" will only read facts that support their narrative because their belief in the state has turned into worship of the state.
