They are neither good nor evil, they are individual beings which exist because they are there most efficient way of providing goods and services to our large global population. Just as you adapt your behavior to succeed, so do companies. A red quarter for a company does not foretell of an economic apocalypse. Those who promote such theories are misguided or are trying to make a buck by playing on human fear. Economic scares, which happen from time to time in our economy, are a creation of man's fear, and do not acknowledge that the system that has evolved must go on. It will adapt into a different, better form, but there is no possibility of regressing to a previous, inferior type of economy. Like humans, companies have life cycles and are prone to self-destruction, again owing to the human condition. Do not lose faith in owning companies. All financial success comes from hard work and intelligent, opportunistic, risk taking. When we do experience a scare, that produces such an opportunity and should be embraced by those with capital. At the very least, if you are wisely invested, hold the line.
