Went and voted early this morning before work.
Some encouraging stuff. EVERYONE hates Trudeau. Early polling over the weekend from survey groups say that the advanced voters (who will tell them) voted heavily conservative. This of course doesn't mean much as a person can say anything they want to these polling groups.
This is however backed up by various other people echoing same things. For example, Viva Frei the PPC candidate in Montreal has mentioned that everyone hates Trudeau in his riding. Some people are holding their noses and voting Liberal while other have switched votes. You can listen to it on his Youtube channel.
This is going to be a chaotic one for sure. PPC party is the only party standing on the side of non-mandatory vaccines. Liberals are like poison wine and yet there are still those that want to drink it unaware of what they're doing. Others are vote switching to NDP which would even be a worse option.
Since our system is a First-Past-The-Post, the person that gets the most votes wins a riding but not be very popular. This is why we can have a shitty Trudeau lead Canada winning only 30% of the popular vote. And if there's any indication of how angry people are it's when you see the ballots. When things are good you have maybe 3 or so candidates from a riding. My very Conservative riding this time has 8.
I'm fairly certain if the US balkanizes, Canada will do the same. This could be very interesting.
