You don't see what I'm getting at? It completely torpedoes the whole sola scriptura, "muh it's not in the Bible" school of thought.

Again, with respect, I have to disagree. All John 21:25 says is that Jesus did many more things than just what was written down. Ultimately, the Scriptures come from God (2 Timothy 3:14-17) and are both perfect (Psalm 12:6; Psalm 18:30; 2 Samuel 22:31) and truth (Isaiah 25:1; 2 Timothy 2:15). Therefore, we have absolutely no right to try to add anything to them, and we're even very clearly warned against doing that (Proverbs 30:5-6).

Regardless, we need to stop these denominational brother wars. We've got bigger fish to fry

There's certainly a difference between being zealous for God and being sinfully hostile. I'm reminded of James 1:19-21:

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls."
