Your right, it's the only one we have, and you know what, as inadequate as it might be, it seems to work.

Incidentally, I have been to the hospital, intensive care, two times for near drowning. I used to hold my breath underwater for like five minutes. I made the mistake of doing it twice while drinking alcohol, and both time the carbon dioxide just put me to sleep. One of the times, there was people around, and when they noticed me on the bottom of the pool, they got me our of water, and fortunately one was a doctor, and was able to able to bring me back. But the greatest risk of near drowning is that your electrolytes get severely messed up, and there is a high risk of heart attack unless you get it corrected, so I still had to go to ICU.

The second time I was in a pool by myself at night, in out of town apartment pool. Just by sheer luck, someone came along and dived into pool, and ran into me on bottom. Next thing I remember is paramedics are trying to revive me. That incident scared me, and I quite doing that.
