I dealt with this problem by becoming a misanthrope, present company excepted. It is even a spiffy word to boot! Seriously though, I totally concur with your synopsis and intend to move to the country after this is over and limit my contact with the human race severely.

The human race is not pretty, it has been lifted up by the crystalline brilliance of a tiny subset of it's overall numbers, the others in their vast majority are utterly dull and pedestrian and constantly looking over their shoulders for social approval and leave me now, like you, in a state of complete disgust.
I used to think that the censorship was causing all rational thought to be rendered mute but now it appears that the average man would load themselves into box cars, smile and take selfies if they thought it would get them likes on TwTR or FB. They are ignorant about history, the world, even the very consciousness that allows them to perceive.
It has been eye opening, it has been emotional. The old world is a giant, festering bowl of purulent shite and it can't die soon enough.
