A great majority of people have kept themselves out of politics their entire lives, bc they couldn’t control what was happening.... no matter if it was something they did like, or something they were absolutely against.
To have gotten emotionally invested was just to allow those people power over their lives. Why would you get emotionally invested and/or waste your time? Life went on, no matter these people in Washington were doing.
Of course, they were still under the impression that the US leaders still worked for US citizens, and had the same goals as they did.
But.... by the late 80’s, 90’s..... the people begin to get the feeling that something wasn’t quite right, how can this thing or that thing be in the US’s best interest....? And, also, right about that time the TPTB came up with the magic boogeyman words of racist and anti-Semite, and effectively used those to prevent the people from talking about real issues and doubts they had, for fear of being ostracized or condemned. It also had the added benefit of further dividing the people. Which- the main goal is for the people to not be able to unite on any consensus.
This quadrupled in the 00’s to mid-10’s, before it doubled again after 2015.
In 2016, on election night, the large majority of Americans got together and silently voted to revive Patriotism, and to vote against Hilary Clinton- who represented every thing bad the people had endured over the past decades, and to which she promised to double down on. Most people didn’t exclaim their support at all, and many were votes against HRC, not for Trump.
After 2016, and through 2017- a large number of people woke up to the fact of just how much they had been lied to, just how blatant those lies had been, and how they had been manipulated to go along with them.
•The world has moved on from these things, you need to catch up
•Noone thinks like that anymore, you uneducated mouth-breather
•Bitterly clinging to your guns and Bibles
•American jobs aren’t coming back. There is no magic wand that can do that
Add to this- how people saw reflected:
•after 2016, exactly what colleges were doing to our young adults. And,
•after 2020, what government schools were doing to our young kids
Now, even the left is waking up because they have seen, and probably gotten kinda horrified by:
•How the 2020 election was blatantly stolen from the people, indicating to even them, that our elections are a sham. If TPTB can do this to us, what happens if me, myself, does not always align with the current polices? We’ve seen their power, and it is frightening. That was something the majority of people were never supposed to see, but now everyone has.
•How all things covid have been exaggerated, lied about, and manipulated- in order to bring about “something”. What that something might be... is kinda unknown, but it probably can’t be good. Maybe these people on the other side had the right idea all along. This virus has about the same death rate as the flu, so none of this makes any sense.
These are things everyone is thinking about in their heads right now, except for the sycophants and their masters, of which both have numerous false gods: social justice, Gaia, education, being part of the in-crowd, and politics.
The normal people, of all colors and nationalities- have seen the power of the government. And even if they are trying to wait it out to see if their own group will be subjected to the 2-minutes-of-hate mandated by the government, they are still worried about being turned on in the future. Because even if they are able to skate by for now, bc have internalized that the government is to be feared.
This is my take on it. My experience. I’ve seen it happen, and I’m watching my own grown kids, who vote differently than I do- getting a little anxious regarding what’s going on. Same thing at my work, which is extremely diverse. People are starting to fear the government more they ever have before, and at much earlier ages.
We are definitely in a period of huge change. It is up to us to fight for the direction we want to go.
