I use the regular, non firm pillow. Honestly the best pillow I’ve ever tried. I use to work at a furniture store, tried a variety of high end memory foam pillows at home, nothing compared to this one. Soft, but supports your head still.

As for the for the compression, it does compress quite a bit. I have a memory foam mattress with a topper, soft, plush feel overall and I sink in a bit, so I needed something thin, the medium has the thinness I’ve been looking for. Firm might have been to stiff, and pushed my head up high. But I haven’t tried firm so I can’t say.

Hopefully this helps. :)

As for the for the compression, it does compress quite a bit. I have a memory foam mattress with a topper, soft, plush feel overall so you sink a bit. And the medium fill is perfect. Firm might have been to stiff, and pushed my head up high.

Hopefully this helps. :)
