AFAIK it's not a replicating virus, but genetic instructions and spike proteins which would have to be transferred in large amounts to "infect" The spike proteins cannot replicate and the mRNA can only produce a certain amount of spike proteins per copy before it's recycled.

Think of AIDS as a syndrome due to an attacked immune system. The cause could be HiV,a virus which is transmissible or it could be caused by a vax which is injected. AIDS in the original sense doesn't have to be caused by a viral infection. They are trying to redefine the terms now so that AIDS is only linked to HiV and the same condition caused by the vax has to be called something else. Wouldn't want to tell the truth which is the vax can lead to AIDS.
