The Medicare data covers 18% of the population and is verifiable to the individual level. Why are we only allowed to see VAERS? If anything VAERS only reports 1% of the data, but can be assumed to be true due to the time it takes to fill out a form (upwards of 40 minutes). Most hospitals are too understaffed to do that. With Insurance companies they are more motivated, however, because there is a payout at the end. Therefore those stats are not only more verifiable, but accurate. Arguably the Medicare data should be made public, because the scheme was announced as for the public good.

They haven't made the data public because it is a) embarrassing, i.e. there is widespread death and injury AFTER the vaccine has been administered, but the patient has not had the 14-days-to-reach-immunity stage, and is therefore counted as 'unvaccinated' by the published numbers. b) the verifiability has privacy issues in publication. c) Medicare acts as a Public Private Partnership. When it comes to data they claim private status and keep it to themselves.
