There's a clear difference between being "smart" and being an "intellect", with the former being the AMOUNT of knowledge you have and the latter being the EFFICIENCY of processing the knowledge you have. I definitely know PLENTY of people who think they are big brains, but have very little spiritual substance. I am not smart at ALL, I promise you that, lol. But I will say one's intellect is quite connected to their spiritual well being; being full in spirit helps you to process knowledge of the world around you.
