In stating this, there is an unfolding tragedy occurring to the world population. It is totalitarian in nature and tyranny is spreading. For a totalitarian government to keep control, they must keep the people in a state of Denial and hypnosis. When this can no longer be possible and people have finally come to terms with their initial paralysis and shock, anger becomes the normal reaction and it is the 2nd Stage of dealing with an unfolding tragedy. These are the first two stages of dealing with tragedy.

The statement from your comment I quoted above is interpreted as the next Stage of human psyche dealing with a tragedy. The company has now provided an offer to diffuse the overwhelming Anger the company is receiving internally and externally. Corporate has moved the employees to the Bargaining Stage by providing this offer and policy.

Many people won't believe 'something' unless they experience it close up or if it happens to them personally. This is part of a defense mechanism of Denial.

Anger in terms of the public is recognizing the corporate/government abuse and is acted out by criticism and even participating in protests and strikes.

The Bargaining stage is normally when there is 'self-doubt' in the individual or collectively in the public mindset. Statements like “what if” and “if only” are voiced. The oppressed individual is stuck in the past. This is when the tyrants (i.e. corporate/government) provide a false solution to the public by installing new leadership or backing off their plans temporarily. It appears as a victory to the public, but it not a victory. It is designed to buy time for the oppressors to install the infrastructure to carry out their original plan, while the public is confused having hope their condition will somehow improve.

In the case of Governor Cuomo, he resigned and Kathy Hochul took over the reins of NY governor. Nothing has changed in NY. Hochul is now carrying out the same plan and it appears to be done with more vengeance against the people of NY. It's a trick that has been used over and over historically.

Collectively the public/society/employees will have to go through a new round of dealing with the unfolding tragedy. Tyranny is only prolonged and only grows as a result.
