They hate us because they ain't us. And they are so deeply compromised and cant do ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
They want to know SO BAD, they are so impatient that they will do whatever it takes, even outing their own comrades, just to get another morsel of intelligence on what is going on at the 40k foot level. They know we KNOW, but we don't know ALL of what will happen. So all they can do is loosely slur our names and cannot call us out directly (insert "QAnon" jab) because even if we were to stand trial to the public eye, we couldn't tell anyone EXACTLY what is going on, we just know its working! That would make them look even dumber because they are MUCH more clueless than we are, and then the smooth brains would know they were hunting the wrong enemy. Its like a prosecutor putting a witness on the stand that all he knows is pepes and memes, and has nothing to offer to the court other than his own speculation about what he has researched, and he keeps demanding tendies to give out any more info, laughing his ass off the whole time.
