Every person who calls upon the lord for forgiveness with a truly open heart will be forgiven. These things will not continue if your heart is true. You will have the Holy Spirit with you which provides you with the strength to reject sin. You will never be perfect but you will think prior and will not constantly live in Sin. If the voice in your head continues to stop you and prevent sin, I believe you’re saved. I never understood this until the last year and half or so. I now can’t be around sin. It drives me nuts with my kids and people in general. I had a meeting with my team a few weeks back and I tell you the lords name was used in vein at least 3-4 times in less than 30 minutes. I can no longer watch TV and movies. I was a die hard sports fan and I haven’t watched one football game this year and maybe a couple NHL games. It’s absolutely life changing when you truly accept the Lord and saviour as your Lord and saviour and go somewhere private, and just break yourself with telling him your deepest secrets and sins. We all have them.... There is no work you can do to be saved so you need to stop thinking like that. All will be saved who call upon the Lord because it’s his Work on the cross that saves you. When this happens the changes come much easier. Oh and I don’t think people are gay. They have perversions that they give into just like you and I would have for example thoughts of having a shampoo bottle stuck up your butt or a 3 some with your wife and her sister. We don’t act on them but a so called Gay man acts out his perversions and gives into temptation.
