"in Moscow, it is currently receiving 24/7 news coverage, like it's an apocalyptic threat to Russia's security. I've had the TV on here while writing this thread, and Kazakhstan has been on the entire time."

That's because it is a very big deal to Russia. Kazakhstan is former Russian territory. And I don't mean Soviet territory, but before in Czarist Russia times. It was the Bolsheviks that split away Kazakhstan from Russia in the early part of the Soviet era. To Russia, there is far more at stake here than meets the western eye. And having the largest border with Russia, Moscow isn't going to stand for another Ukraine to develop. The fomenting of revolt is coming from the numerous NGOs permitted to operate in Kazakhstan. Russia views this as a hybrid war, but there is another factor in which ISIS and Al Queda is operating at the southern border and are viewed as having Turkish support to establish the 'Great Turan' along with Cabal Western support. This is why Russia has sent, along with Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, military to Kazakhstan in accordance to their peace-keeping post-Soviet Pact.

Having Russia send troops to wide areas of the Kazakhstani nation is an indication that the NWO Cabal has lost control of Kazakhistan. And I don't believe the Biden Administration or NATO will have much leverage to prevent Moscow going in to stabilize the Kazakhstan government.
