You actually don't "know" you have covid. You "may" have covid, but there really isn't a way to know for sure.

Loss of taste and smell is a common symptom of many other illnesses too, including influenza.

You could always appeal to the, "Well, I've never felt this bad before" argument. But that doesn't really prove anything either. You're not as young as you use to be when you got sick last. The older you are the more sickness "feels" worse. Your diet may be different than it was when you got sick last. Sickness is worse under a bad diet. Etc...

Furthermore, you may have caught a slightly different strain of any number of common cold/flu's that have been around for quite some time; and they "feel" different because they "are" a bit different.

Anyways, I'm just challenging all of us (not just the person I'm responding to) to choose our words and how we describe our own realities carefully, so as to not accidently perpetuate this worldwide lie that has been pressed down upon us.
