Some of these people have nothing better to do than get an ego kick by finding out someone plagiarized a work. And of course any person who denies a sincerely held religious belief is in violation of discrimination laws. They CAN be sued, if denied one should file with their State Affirmative action office to start and document the process. Of course that doesn't keep one from being illegally fired for the time being but at least in the end you could be awarded damages.
