The plant "antioxidant" craze is a fraud. Read Paul Saladino's book The Carnivore Code, even if you have no interest in going carnivore. He makes an excellent expose of the fraud of the so-called "benefits" of plants. It's all part of the same nutrition scam they've been running for decades, like demonizing cholesterol and saturated fat, or telling you fluoride in your water is "good" for you.

The real fact is, that plants increase our antioxidant levels because they trigger antioxidant production in our bodies, in order to COUNTERACT and NEUTRALIZE the toxic effects of plant substances such as flavonoids and tannins and a whole bevy of other plant substances.

Read the book, I promise you it won't be a waste of your time. We've been misled for as long as anyone alive can remember. Fatally misled.
