I know of a case where the sick started at 0.2mg/kg and wasn't recovering and the frontline doctors raised it to 0.4mg/kg and recovery came in a few days. the frontline doctors also noted that their preferred dosage was 0.4mg/kg for active covid. for a 200 lb person thats 32mg for at least 4 days. it is possible for a doctor to recommend 0.6mg/kg during treatment. the safe range for ivermectin is quite broad for short periods (4-8 days)
