“In 1974, President Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon, the previous president. President Nixon was involved in the Watergate scandal, which involved a break-in at the Democratic National Committee office in Washington. Nixon sent FBI and CIA agents, which was an abuse of presidential power. The pardon issued by President Gerald Ford for the former President Richard Nixon was likely the reason that President Gerald Ford was only the president for one term and was not able to be re-elected for a second term.”

Very interesting, never knew that.

“The pardoning power of the President comes from Article II, Section 2 of the US Constitution. Anyone can apply for clemency: a Presidential Pardon (forgiveness), a commuting (shortening) of a sentence, or both. The President can pardon only federal crimes.”

In this part, it seems to suggest that the person has been found guilty and sentenced.

Because of the concise wording in the Constitution and no history of a legal precedent, it is unknown if the President can pardon himself/herself.

I remember President Trump tweeting many years ago that he could pardon himself if he wanted to. At the time, I thought Trump was trolling the Kenyan as he secretly pardoned a bunch of people including himself because Trump was coming in after him instead of hrc.

”President can pardon only federal crimes, but cannot stop or pardon impeachment.“

After reading this, I have to say that hunter’s laptop has alleged federal crimes committed with the big guy getting 10%, and it also contains crimes against humanity like the weaponized biolabs and trafficking where both are war crimes.

Hunter and dad may pardon themselves for fed crimes, but they are SoL on war crimes they committed. One thing that sets hunter apart from Nixon is he was never a sitting president.
