There is tons of evidence Musk is an Insider. There is a ton of evidence that many of the people on "our side" are Insiders. There is also tons of evidence Musk is a White(ish) hat. But Good or Bad, his actions are generally towards We The People experiencing the GA, sometimes in very big ways. Does anything else really matter?
He also gets some of the greatest scenes in The Show. You gotta appreciate that.
The trick is to appreciate The Show for what it is, and to not trust the actors on stage. Don't trust Musk. That would be idiotic. But don't trust anyone. It's the opposite of Critical Thinking.
