We are supposed to be putting 3 different codes on people's charts starting April 1, 2022. Fully Covid vaccinated, Partially covid vaccinated, or status unknown/not vaccinated. I have removed all of these codes from charts as I see them. As well as "declines vaccination" code.
I was able to weasel out of the mass firings for my hospital due to required vaxx because I work from home but I am willing to lose my job over this. There is NO reason why this code needs to be going to insurance and this is purely for monthly/quarterly/annual reports for $$$$$.
My skin crawls that I'm even still working for this disgusting company. It used to be a religious organization that serviced underprivileged communities but now its a conglomerate hospital and all about profits.
In my opinion EHR was the worst possible thing to happen to patient consent. We no longer receive physical papers to review and sign when consenting to treatment. We get a little spiel about "This next signature is for your consent to treatment" but not WHAT it is. YOU CAN REQUEST A PHYSICAL FORM. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITHOUT REVIEWING IT.
These are typically referred to as "CONSENT FOR TREATMENT AND RELEASE FORM RESPONSIBILITY" but each organization is different and will include/remove things from this form.
It is right here on the CDC website. They are not required to give you a consent form for your VACCINES (this is not considered treatment I guess?). ASK QUESTIONS, YOU ARE YOUR BEST AND ONLY ADVOCATE.
