I call bullshit on the Houston Chronicle - its another example of the Woke Media (the Houston Chronicle is far right of it's readers) ginning-up a bullshit story to support their WOKE narrative.

The blue-collar / roughneck character of the greater Houston community will support or tolerate XOM not bowing down to this Woke Bullshit & XOM knows that.

I'm not a paying subsctiber, so can't comment on the article, but read their comments - Comments overwhelmingly support XOM's stance on their 'anti-woke' policies
