It's also a Double Bind within a Double Bind.

The First Double Bind was to put the BoD into a spot where if they accepted Musk's offer, they lost, and if they refused his offer, they lost (the shareholders would have eaten them alive, with lawsuits).

Elon won that one, but as with any Double Bind, he would win either way.

The Second Double Bind is that if it turns out the BoD/Twitter employees lied under oath, they lose. If they lied but they try to cover it up, they'll lose (because they will be caught). If they give up their reasons for lying, they will incriminate (most likely) people who will kill them for testifying against them, and if they do not give up their reasons for lying they will most likely get roasted anyway.

And some others:

If the SEC does its job here, Musk wins. If the SEC does not do its job, Musk gets to roast them, and he hates the SEC due to past shit they've done to him.

If it turns out that Twitter is actually owned and operated by the government, Musk (and all of us) win, as that will be the end of people wanting to go on Twitter. And Gab and/or Truth Social will win.

Also I'm seeing that the EU is now coming out trying to tell Musk he'll need to play by their rules. If they insist, Musk will just stop allowing Twitter to work in those markets and the EU populace will see the tweets in some other fashion, and it will be even clearer that the EU Emperor Has No Clothes. If the EU allows Twitter to function freely, the oligarchy loses.

EDIT: There are also a variety of scenarios where he could turn the tables on the Shorties and squeeze them. Which would be delicious.
