You hit the nail on the head there fren. It takes more than just showing up to the polls to vote. How the hell can we expect any change in what has happened if we do not get involved in the process and hold people accountable? This crap must stop about people relying on someone else to do the heavy lifting and having the mindset that all they need to do is vote. We have been trained to hand over governance to others and we do not mind the store. Then when things go horribly wrong, most of these people not involved are the first ones to sit back and complain. My question to them is what did you do to affect change in some way besides just casting a vote? Where did we ever learn that this was all that was required of us to have a free republic? We are responsible for the government we have.

Dems have had us beat for years because they excelled at the ground game and got the hell out there and were involved - especially under Obama. People can say what they want about the Burners, but they also put on one hell of a ground game for the amount of people actually involved. Too bad that their candidate was not worthy of their efforts.

There are a hell of a lot of us out here but how many are actually plugged in? Trump showed us that we could win if we applied ourselves. Are we always successful? No. But, that does not mean we give up and go home. That attitude doesn't fix anything but hands it all over to the enemy which is exactly what they want. I thought that was the point of children playing sports - to teach us that you don't quit just because you lose - even if the other guy may have cheated. You play even harder to overcome the odds.

We are at war and quitting is not an option. I think the sooner people understand what is really at stake here and how close we are to the precipice, the better off we will be. We are fighting for our lives and if we do not get engaged, we will be bulldozed.
