Concave earth with the appropriately bendy light makes full sense of the eclipses. Just because flat earth is a bad model for reality doesn't force you to accept the nonsense that you're on a ball moving at 1k mph, rotating around the center. [and yet perfectly in sync with the atmosphere, which is not physically tethered to the rock that's supposedly moving at 1k mph.]
